Introducing PHEN’s

“Patient Treatments Education and Empowerment

Webinar Series: Understanding Treatment Pathways”

To educate patients about their treatment pathways and options, and to empower them and their families to make informed shared decisions with their doctors.

A key objective is to address the prostate cancer racial disparity by providing African American patients with the knowledge needed to help reduce treatment disparities. Studies show that with equal treatment for prostate cancer, black men have survivorship outcomes equal to those of white men.

PHENPath.com, PHEN’s patient friendly online portal, based on the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) clinical treatments guidelines for doctors, will be used for the webinars.

Each webinar will include a presentation on a specific treatment topic followed by a patient roundtable discussion highlighting patient experiences making treatment decisions. Treatment options are highly dependent on where patients are on their prostate cancer journey.
